We have developed a well-rounded, comprehensive strength training & conditioning program that encourages hard work and progressive results for young athletes and teens. Keep in mind that “young athletes” can mean just about anyone under 18 years old. In this case, the program is mainly geared toward athletes 12-17 years old. Our strength training program for young athletes incorporates every major muscle group in the body: chest, upper back, shoulders, biceps, triceps, neck, abdominals, lower back, hips & glutes, quadriceps, hamstrings and calves. We also blend in balance and endurance and proper stretching techniques.
At InnerStrength, Denise & Curvin can help determine what your teen is capable of and teach them how to exercise safely, effectively, and most importantly, how to have some fun so these habits stick into adulthood. As a result of overall body conditioning and increasing their physical fitness levels on a regular consistent basis, most of the Teens in this program have attested to benefiting from any or all of the following:
Protection from injuries
Higher self-esteem and confidence
Increased overall body-tone
Decrease in mood swings
Better and more “restful” sleep patterns
How we can Help your teen:
• Sports specific training and Condtioning Athletes often need specialized training and kids who want to pursue sports may want or need help from a professional to strengthen their bodies, increase their power and endurance and protect them from injuries.
• Exercise Guidance We help your teen learn proper form, breathing, technique, weight & appropriate rest times for their level of fitness. We also help them make the mind-muscle connection and have the two work together not against each other.
• Dislike of organized sports or group fitness. Some kids may not like typicalsports, but still want to get in shape. Working one-on-one with a trainer can be a safe environment for them to get fit and strong without feeling self-conscious.
